Child Care Vouchers (CCV)
If you are not eligible for Working Tax Credits, we are able to accept payment through Child Care Vouchers (CCV) from any recognised scheme operator such as Apple Childcare Vouchers, Edenred, Computershare, Busybees, Kiddi Vouchers etc. More people are eligible than they initially realise, as CCV is a scheme that all employers are able to register for.
This is a tax-efficient way to save money on childcare fees, as you can pay for the fees before Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) are deducted from your salary, saving up to 42% of the voucher value. Please note, both parents are entitled to receive up to the maximum voucher value per month which means savings can be as high as £1,866 per annum.
Speak to your Human Resources department to find out how you can receive childcare vouchers.
Tax-Free Childcare (TFC)
Parents will be able to open a new childcare account. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government will pay in an extra £2. Parents can get up to £2000 government support per child per year towards their childcare costs - that's up to £500 every 3 months. If they have a disabled child, they can receive up to £4000 per child – a total of £1000 every 3 months. They can then use this money to pay their childcare provider.
